what's up fight fans welcome back to another ufc fight card recap today we'll be having a quick look of the highlights of ufc vegas 26. if you like this video be sure to like and subscribe if you haven't already for your chance to win a 250 gift card once we hit a thousand subscribers just right around the corner now let's jump into the action there were numerous shake ups to this week's ufc card some coming just hours before the event was expected to begin the first and easily the biggest was the removal of dilishaw vs sandhagen from the main event slot of the fight this came after dilishaw sustained an injury that forced him out another cancellation came in in the form of ben rothwell versus felipe linz linz was forced to withdraw from the scheduled fight due to illness another final cancellation was amanda rebus versus angela hill when rebus tested positive for coven 19. this had to have been the most disappointing card of the year and it started so promising the card saw the return of gregor gillespie after his brutal head kick loss to kevin lee that man went flying his bout against carlos fajeda was turned into a catchweight fight at 160 pounds after fajita missed weight this didn't seem to matter as gregor returned with a vengeance breaking his opponent down over the course of the fight and simply just outworking him gregor definitely deserves a fight with someone in the top 10 because at 34 he's not getting any younger and he more than anyone deserves a title all shot that is how hard declaring the winner by tko gregor the gift goes hey i think that's the biggest win in his career best wrestler best fisherman the next fight on the card saw marcos joseo de lima defeat maurice green the fight was the only thing that seemed longer than marco's name the fight didn't offer much in the way of excitement with lima incorporating a more wrestling heavy approach to get the win there was a punch after the bell that seemed to heat things up a bit but the grappling heavy approach continued lima stated in the post fight interview that he wants to step back into the octagon as soon as possible whenever the ufc calls the next fight between neil magne and jeff neal was an exciting matchup in the welterweight division with both men looking to pick up some steam both of them were coming off a loss magney to michael chasa and jeff neal to stephen thompson magni came in as the underdog which is fairly common for the gangly bjj wizard but he proved the oddsmakers and the doubters wrong with a win over one of the 170's hardest punchers the subsequent fight was a depressing one it appears that donald cerrone's time in the ufc may be coming to a close after a brutal tko loss to alex morono cerrone has been on quite the skid in recent outings with the fighter losing five of his last six and the other fight being declared a no contest it'll be interesting to see how much longer dana white keeps cerrone around for as he's undeniably a legend of the game with this fight spelling his 54th professional fight cerrone has made it clear that he wants to set his sights at lightweight and just took this fight for the hell of it he had this to say quote i want to go back to 155 pounds these boys at 170 hit hard they are big boys but like i said no excuses man the kid came in and was ready end quote we hope cerrone can bounce back and get a big win soon or else he risks going the way of diego sanchez an old legend with nothing to show for it the main event saw the karate hottie michelle watterson lose a lopsided decision to marina rodriguez at 125 pounds watterson has been campaigning for a title shot for some time now but her chances appear to be fading rodriguez fought an intelligent fight and continued her impressive streak after dominating amanda rebus in her last fight she is proving to be a real problem in the flyweight division the fight wasn't a complete domination and watterson certainly had her moments but as she gets older and faces this next generation of female fighting talent she'll need to think and move like a veteran and chances are her fight iq just isn't quite there yet rodriguez is now pining for a shot at former strawweight queen and dredrick in what would be a huge step up in competition so what did you think of the card what was your standout moment from ufc on vegas 26 let us know in the comments section below and for all your latest updates news and videos on everything ufc and mma you can catch us here at dave's top videos thanks for watching and as always stay awesome [Music] you
