Michael Pagani just scored one of the best knockouts of the year.
On Saturday, the undefeated Pagani faced Dylan Hantig in a lightweight bout at Venator FC 12 in Montecatini Terme, Italy, and the hometown fighter nicknamed “Sniper” showed just how damaging he can be, putting Hantig to sleep with a sensational flying knee.
Pagani used his length and power to give Hantig problems from the opening bell, dropping his opponent with an early hook, and forcing Hantig to try and get inside. Pagani then pounced with a pinpoint perfect flying knee as Hantig stepped in, putting `Hantig out cold just over 90 seconds into the first round.
The win moved Pagani to 5-0 (1 NC) in his professional career. Afterwards, the 23-year-old Italian fighter said he wanted to fight for the lightweight title soon. With performances like that, and his sensational spinning kick knockout of Joshua Onwordi at Venator FC 11, it’s only a matter of time until Pagani gets his wish, or gets scooped up by a bigger promotion.
