The full card for UFC Vegas 84, featuring a light heavyweight rematch between Johnny Walker and Magomed Ankalaev, has been confirmed by the promotion.
The UFC on Wednesday released the card along with its co-main event, a lightweight matchup between octagon ironman Jim Miller and Gabriel Benitez.
UFC Vegas 84 takes place Jan. 13 at UFC APEX in Las Vegas. It is expected to air on ESPN+.
Walker and Ankalaev’s rematch was first revealed earlier this month by Walker coach John Kavanagh on The MMA Hour. The two fought to a no-contest at UFC 294 when Ankalaev landed an illegal knee to Walker’s head, and the cageside doctor controversially called off the fight. Walker and Ankalaev protested the decision and nearly came to blows before UFC CEO Dana White entered the arena to calm the fighters.
Miller hopes to extend his current UFC records with his 43rd appearance in the octagon. He holds the record for most appearances as well as octagon wins at 25. In his most recent fight, he knocked out Jesse Butler at UFC Vegas 74, earning his 14th post-fight performance bonus. Benitez most recently took out Charlie Ontiveros, snapping a two-fight skid; he stands at 7-6 overall in the UFC.
