Start from the close guard , just put our
legs around the partner’s hip and cross the legs behind . then if we going to apply
Armbar to his right arm then we need to hold his right arm from his elbow joint are with
our right hand . if not, he can pull out the arm easily and get a escape before we apply
the armbar . Second point is we need to control his shoulder
, if not again he will pull out his hand , to do this I can hold him with his collar and
hold then we go for high guard .
Then we can control his should and he will not able to
pull it back Third point is we need to control his head
with keep out left hand on left side of his neck . if not if he bend forward then again
we can not apply armbar . Then we can move our hip to right side and
put left leg on his left side shoulder and apply arm bar.
In this position some are crossing their legs , but my recommendation is not to cross the
legs . then we can give more weight . Now our setting up is okay.
Then while keep his thumb on top we need to bump hip little . this way we can apply armbar
very easily and with less effort . In any case if opponent pull out his arm then
we can hold his left arm and can go for a Omoplata . or we can go for a triangle as
well .
