BEST OF NORTHERN THAILAND, LUXURIOUS VILLAGE 1-HOUR DRIVE from CHIANG MAI in CHIANG MAI PROVINCE

This is your village. The walkway is coming to an end but… I feel like an idiot. Hey champs! What's happening? Welcome to another episode of "Tag Along With
Chai". We are in Pang Hai village. A small little village literally an hour away
from Chiang Mai city. If you want to go to north Thailand? You are in Chiang Mai? Or do you just want to have that proper jungle
feel like a village with the benefits of good food quality coffees and amazing surroundings? This is your village.

We just woke up in some cute little accommodation. A very basic room that basically has a bed,
a fridge, air conditioning, and a hot shower. Nothing really special but then again, we
are surrounded by nature. The location is what's counting at the moment. This is where you want to wake up. In the middle of the mountains. At this stream. And it used to be a very small stream. It is rain season right now. There's a lot of water coming out. A lot of power. Anyway, I'd like to give you some different
options here at Voraman Huts. This is one of the cheapest rooms we stayed
in. I'd like to show you some different categories
as well before we're going to explore this little village. It's a little getaway from Chiang Mai.

If you're coming on holiday and you want to
skip the city of Chiang Mai which I think you shouldn't but anyway. You fly into Chiang Mai and you get a taxi
straight away here. If you come to this village you will understand
what I mean with the north of Thailand. What I love about the north of Thailand. Lao is coming up. There are more alternatives for the north
of Thailand for sure. Each video I see as a product and I want to
give a positive product. I want to give something like a feel-good
product. But I also want to say, obviously I also have
my down days. I don't want to say this is a down day. This is actually just the start of the day.

It's still early morning. After breakfast, and we had some beautiful
breakfast here at the river. We had a coffee. A second coffee. Also on our balcony. We had a little chill this morning. A beautiful start of the day and I was flying
the drone. The drone that we just bought for this channel
and I'm sad to say that I… You know what? I safe this until the end of this video. Anyway chin up. No matter what happened. We're still gonna rock this day. I've got a good feeling about this day. It's only going… From here it's only gonna go better. I'm gonna show you the first hut. The River View Hut. Its got a big fridge. Queen size bed. And then this is what you do it for: The River View Hut. A basic bathroom. Hot shower. An industrial look. You don't need any more. We're just showing you the Wooden Dome.

This one is going for 2.000 baht upwards. We straight away entering the dome. Big tv. Small fridge. Queen size bed. Quite basic. But this is what you do it for. The balcony. You got a real jungle feel to it. Which I really like… Simplicity is the beauty of this, I think. Because when you go outside, you have a little
sink, a little bathroom. Then again very simple. But very beautiful and also affordable. Then again in high season, it might be 2.800
or 2.900. Maybe three thousand. And in low season as cheap as 2.000 baht. We show you two more rooms so you can pick
which room you would like to stay in. I'm taking you a little bit down the stream. It's a little house on the riverside.

We're entering Poonsuk. This place amazes me every time I'm seeing
a different hut. A different house. The decoration of it, it's really homey. Have a chesterfield couch. A beautiful bathroom with big windows. It doesn't matter which room you are in… You're realizing you're right in the center
of a jungle. Let's enter the bedroom. Then again a queen-size bed but this one is
higher up. You're actually quite high off the floor. And the nice thing about this: It's got a joining stream.

To the actual "river". There is another bridge there. Mate, this is insane. This one is going for 2.900 or 3.000. But depending on if it's high season. Well done to the person that decorated this
room. It's got the tiles which give it a bit of
a farmer look. Like in the Netherlands farmhouse, old farmhouses,
would still have these tiles. The wooden furniture and this something… This is something nice. This is something you would like to surprise
your partner with, I think. I truly love the finishing touch. The choice of art hanging on the wall. The furniture mixed with the surrounding area. The big windows. Big fridge. Not one bedroom no. There are two bedrooms. Overlooking the balcony and as soon as we
step outside, we can hear the creek. The stream.

I would call it a little river at the moment. There's a bigger platform right here where
you can chill not with only four people. They can put an extra bed in there so you
can stay here for up to 10 people in this house. I think 10 people in this house would be a
little bit crowded. I would say 6 is the maximum. But you are allowed to stay here with a maximum
of 10 people. A beautiful little accommodation. Let's carry on. Let's crack on! I'm showing you the village a little bit. I also want to take you to a little coffee
shop that you have to see while you're visiting this place.

And I also tell you what is more around maybe
how many days you want to spend here etc. One of the beautiful things of this village
is the authentic village-like architecture throughout the village. This street is stretching out over three kilometres
and all along here they're really trendy coffee shops. Most of them with beautiful views and they
all have one thing in common. They have amazing coffee. I'd like to show you one of the better coffee
shops here.

Not only because of the coffee. No, it's also because of the design of the
coffee shop. They have a tree walk as well. We are at Palore coffee shop. Our first up. A must-seen coming to this little town. That smells nice! Yeah? 100% Arabica coffee beans. But all grown, obviously, on Thai grounds. Sorry? A special process? Macadamia coffee. Frappe. Delicious. Let's go there. We gonna check out this. Oh hello! Whoa! Okay, five persons at the time. Champs. Do you see this? There's literally no one here. We're the only guests here. Like the last episode, we've been showing
the north of Thailand. Most of the days here in Chiang Mai province
in the rain season it's only raining for a few hours and then it stops.

Mainly in the evening and in the mornings
it's raining and during the day it's clearing up. And then you got this place for yourself or
for ourselves. Mm-hmm! Now I understand what macadamia is about. There are actually crunch nuts in there. That's a good frappe! Walking around on the bridge. Going towards this tree house or tree platform
I should say. A solid construction champs. A must seen coming to this little village. There are several coffee shops. Great restaurants. And you also can do ziplining. There's a viewpoint where we take you later
on. We're finishing the episode right there. it's in a national park. A nice little getaway from Chiang mai or just
a beautiful stay in the north of Thailand.

If you're not really a city-like person, and
you want to check out the north of Thailand? This is one of your go-to places. Also I recommend going to Naan, Payao, Pai,
and Bang Rak Thai. There are definitely places that we have been
checking out already. Or we're gonna check it out in the next episodes. We just did an episode at Mae Kampong not
too long ago. This is also very close by here. So you can stay overnight here or two nights
here.

Two nights at Mae Kampong. Definitely worth checking it out. We are surrounded by a lot of streams. Waterfalls, little rivers. Nature. Beautiful accommodation. Pee Pong is making everything for this temple
by hand. He's crafting this beautiful sculpture. It's just happening. So basically, a lot of temples here in Thailand
once they start building a temple. It seems they never finish it. They're expanding and expanding. Same here. There's a lot of space left. Up there. We're not gonna go there. We're having an easy day today. But up there there's an another pagoda they're
making I believe. Another temple. Beautiful Chinese dragons. A little stop giving you something to do. We probably spend another 20 minutes here,
before we head to our viewpoint in our national park. Wow a beautiful mermaid. I didn't expect that, topless. With a tablet in her hand.

Every day is different. But sometimes it's nice to stay somewhere
for a little longer. To settle down. That's what we love about Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai is our home, we call it our home
for the next few months. So if you're new to the channel or just wondering;
what's going on champ? You're just moving around the north of Thailand? What's happening? We just came back from the Philippines because
we are exploring Southeast Asia. But we are based in Chiang Mai. I am a big fan of the north of Thailand. Chiang mai is my favorite city in Thailand. We're exploring it. And I try to motivate you to come to the north
of Thailand at some stage. And if not. If you're not having that opportunity then
I just want to show you the beauty of the north of Thailand in several episodes. And we're probably going to be here until
the end of the year. But also just exploring Southeast Asia while
we are at it. This is definitely a little temple ground
that you might want to visit if you just had a coffee or two and you're buzzing like we
are.

Thai hospitality right here. I let a stranger take care of my lady for
a little bit. Because we're driving on top of this hill
and our 125 CC couldn't handle it. So now for the last uh hundred meters towards
our viewpoint, we are catching a ride from our new friends. Thank you so much! My name is Khob. My name is Chai. Thank you so much! Whatever you do, stay champ. We are at Kio Hin Viewpoint it is a national
park. We had to enter Lampang. We're back in Lampang the neighbouring province
of Chiang Mai. By the looks of it this place, the walkway
is coming to an end but… We crack on walking on the rocks. And going through the highest points, standing
on the rock to have a proper view. Let me laser you back to the place where we
had breakfast. At our accommodation this morning.

To tell you a little story. The… Just the little sad story that I had this
morning. I thought it was a good idea to fly through
these trees, cross the bridge halfway and then go fly a little bit down and upwards. Upstream. Ah, I shouldn't have done this because the
wind was blowing against it and I thought left was right, and right was left.

And I made a mistake. After a few days of flying this drone. Champs, I lost my drone. Basically, it fell in the water and as you
see the water is very powerful at the moment. There's a lot of rainfall lately this rain
season in Thailand. Once it hit the water it was gone. I couldn't save it anymore. It could have gone worse. I could have dropped the whole case. I still got the charger, the extra batteries
etc. The controller. But I basically lost my first drone. I can't believe it! But this is part of the show as well champs. A little message of this whole video towards
you but, also to myself really. I feel like an idiot.

Always keep your chin up. And don't be silly. Don't fly too close to a bridge. In these circumstances, I shouldn't have flown
at all near a river, near the water. Chin up. I still hope you enjoyed this episode. This was not about my drone. This was about Pang Hai Village. One of the most beautiful villages in Chiang
Mai. I would like to say from the north of Thailand
at Kio Hin near Pang Hai Village; Bye for now and stay champ! I hope you enjoyed the subtitles 🏆
