Magomed Ankalaev may get his second opportunity at the UFC light heavyweight title after brutally finishing Johnny Walker in the main event of UFC Vegas 84.
The light heavyweight rematch took center stage in the promotion’s first event of the year, and after a slow start from both fighters in the first round, Ankalaev delivered a thunderous knockout in the second round to extend his unbeaten streak to 12 fights.
Following the win, Ankalaev called for a title shot against Alex Pereira, and his performance got the attention of former divisional champ and coach of Pereira, Glover Teixeira.
