thailand and by the end of this videoĀ Ā you'll know not just a little bit more aboutĀ
muay thai but exactly what it's like when youĀ Ā do a muay thai training camp in thailand and allĀ
of the beautiful experiences that come with it this is going to be a great video soĀ

and learning a little bit about muay thaiĀ Ā my name is paddy doyle and this is my littleĀ
honda dream and welcome to next level adventuresĀ Ā right now we are attempting to visitĀ
every single province in thailand we've had some incredible adventures already butĀ

incredible country together okay welcome nowĀ Ā it's the middle of the day okay so everybodyĀ
is napping and getting out of the heat becauseĀ Ā normally the trainings are in the morning theĀ
afternoon and you can do additional one-on-oneĀ Ā lessons now the way this video is going to workĀ
is firstly let me just show you around the campĀ Ā so you can expect to know what you get for yourĀ
money because basically everything is inclusiveĀ Ā right your accommodation the facilities the gymĀ
the muay thai training the incredible location so yes let's talk about the accommodationsĀ
when you sign up to a muay thai training campĀ Ā your accommodation is included and it's not tooĀ
shabby you basically get your own room but apartĀ Ā from having a really big comfortable bed a smartĀ
tv an outside balcony to dry your clothes andĀ Ā your workout and stuff you also have a kitchenĀ
full fridge freezer microwave sink pots and pansĀ Ā so you can take care of your own diet you can buyĀ
your own ingredients from the supermarket down onĀ Ā the beach and just take care of your own nutritionĀ
being able to make yourself feel at home is reallyĀ Ā important because you might be here for weeksĀ
maybe months it really depends on yourself soĀ Ā the accommodation was quality okay we're about toĀ
start our uh first group training and uh they'reĀ Ā coming any minute starts at four and it's so lessĀ
than ten minutes so what i thought i would doĀ Ā is walk around the gym and show you a little bitĀ
more in detail what there is here so there's 15 ofĀ Ā these bad boys punch bags and they go all the wayĀ
down actually there's even more there's probablyĀ Ā 25 because there's even more on the other sideĀ
and then in the middle there are four full-sizeĀ Ā rings with boxing gloves and plenty of pads andĀ
i'm going to go over here because it looks likeĀ Ā there's a gym as well yes there is a huge gym hereĀ
light air con lots of machines lots of weightsĀ Ā and the the people who are going to be trainingĀ
in the group session uh five of them are girls andĀ Ā then there's a couple of guys that i've seen andĀ
one of the interesting stories i was speaking toĀ Ā a girl last night she's from holland and she justĀ
flew all the way here and she's quitting drinkingĀ Ā she's eating healthy and she's just training forĀ
a month and because she just told me she can onlyĀ Ā focus really on her health and on her mind whenĀ
she's away from work when she's away from home soĀ Ā she's flown here and she's yeah she's killingĀ
it she did two training sessions last nightĀ Ā went for a run this morning went for a trainingĀ
session again this morning so these girls areĀ Ā extremely passionate and the guy who's hereĀ
as well they're extremely passionate aboutĀ Ā fitness about muay thai about losing weight aboutĀ
getting technically good some of these people areĀ Ā professionals that train here full time so that'sĀ
going to be great to learn from them to look atĀ Ā their technique and copy them and uh what elseĀ
have we got here yeah previous travelers who'veĀ Ā come here trained here and then gone on toĀ
fight and win their own professional bouts okay that was a quick look around the gym andĀ Ā shortly after it was timeĀ
for the training to beginĀ Ā we started off with just a few bits of runningĀ
skipping and stretching just to get warmed up i can't even skip okay warm up complete wraps complete and now uhĀ
we're just gonna i don't know what we're gonna doĀ Ā and because it was my first training sessionĀ
the trainer wanted to just test my knowledgeĀ Ā on boxing if i had any so he asked meĀ
to throw a jab a hook and an uppercutĀ Ā low kick high kick and then heĀ
taught me some extra moves okayĀ Ā i'm straight in the ring apparently so we're goingĀ
to do some shadow boxing and he's got the padsĀ Ā you will sweat buckets it is an absolute guaranteeĀ
here at 4 o'clock in the afternoon in southernĀ Ā thailand and i was having so much fun and theĀ
best part is everyone else around you is all in itĀ Ā together and everyone's at different levels thereĀ
are absolute amateurs and beginners just like meĀ Ā there are people who are out here trainingĀ
semi-professionally even professionallyĀ Ā but together as a group we all just i don't knowĀ
there's a sort of camaraderie there's a real senseĀ Ā of togetherness and a real sense of motivation andĀ
it's it's just great and super fun to be around so we've practiced some of the basic moves iĀ
did okay actually i did okay he's like yeah okay by far my favorite part of the workoutĀ
is the pad work you get to justĀ Ā let a bit of your frustrations out practice yourĀ
kicks and practice your technique muay thai has aĀ Ā very different stance to traditional boxingĀ
and i was finding it a little bit difficult and the hardest part is iĀ
always want to go sideways onĀ Ā and jab like that yeah why is that westernĀ
boxing i don't know good yeah great it's amazing how much better you get just withinĀ
the first few hours to be honest the trainers areĀ Ā really good at correcting your form and giving youĀ
the specifics to muay thai and i quickly realizedĀ Ā that it's actually kind of like a dance and whenĀ
i did realize that my trainer was not best pleasedĀ Ā the second hour you just basically do drills youĀ
go from one section of the gym to the other threeĀ Ā rounds in the ring or three rounds on the punchĀ
bags running around doing weights doing circuitsĀ Ā pad work shadow boxing lifting things throwingĀ
things you are gonna have a workout and you'reĀ Ā gonna sweat and you're gonna feel great andĀ
like i keep saying because everyone is thereĀ Ā together there's a real group vibe and i'mĀ
one of those kind of people that needs to beĀ Ā working out with other people for me to workĀ
hard otherwise i'll just get lazy and go home okay so the uh the training session is basicallyĀ
finished and now the semi-pros and the pros areĀ Ā just sparring and it's really good to watchĀ
the first one is the small girl from germanyĀ Ā and she doesn't stand a chance but i think theĀ
whole point is to teach her to never give up um okay yes okay that was awesome what an experience to watchĀ
those guys spa and uh so anyway after the trainingĀ Ā you can come to the beach because obviously theĀ
best thing about doing a muay thai training campĀ Ā on the west coast of thailand is it's sunsetĀ
every single night into the andaman sea and itĀ Ā is just this crazy golden color and the sea is soĀ
flat and calm and there's people skating out hereĀ Ā in the back and a lot of people come down fromĀ
bangkok for the surfing season which has justĀ Ā begun so don't worry i'll do a whole video laterĀ
on this channel about this surfing scene and thisĀ Ā entire area because it's so cool i just all ofĀ
a sudden feel like i'm in bali or something orĀ Ā sri lanka people's surfing out to the sea throwingĀ
frisbee volleyball hanging out at this incrediblyĀ Ā beautiful beach here in caulac and this is aĀ
stone's throw from the muay thai training camp soĀ Ā um i actually i kind of fancy going for a runĀ
because even though i got to sweat a lot um iĀ Ā didn't really get enough of my energy out soĀ
i actually feel like a really nice long runĀ Ā i can see i think i can see cows at the far endĀ
of the beach so i'll let you know if it is cowsĀ Ā and there's all these hot people fromĀ
bangkok with like dark skin who youĀ Ā know thai people normally don't go in theĀ
sun but these guys live in the sea surfingĀ Ā and they're so bronzed and beautifulĀ
so i really like this place okay day two group session four o'clock let'sĀ
do this i'm a bit late okay and then afterĀ Ā our warm-up i'm back in the ring doing moreĀ
pad work and it's amazing just one day laterĀ Ā my footwork is on point i'm still making aĀ
little bit of mistakes here and there butĀ Ā yeah i'm i'm loving the technical side to itĀ Ā and getting the footwork right and doing theĀ
counting and just getting the basics right firstĀ Ā and then if you were going to be here for a monthĀ
if you were going to be here for longer once youĀ Ā get your timing once you get your technicalĀ
side and it becomes drilled into you you'reĀ Ā going to see a massive improvement i can see aĀ
massive improvement i've only been in one day right kick one all right it is the end of my experience hereĀ
at rawai i just want to say a massive thank youĀ Ā to you guys for watching i hope you learnedĀ
