How to Invert in BJJ for Beginners

hey everyone welcome to yoga for BJJ today we'll 
cover how to invert in BJJ so if you're looking   to add inversions and to invert in BJJ this

watching i'll show you a really easy way of how   to adapt your invert to get it when you start 
off as well but we'll go over this to begin   with start from seated guard come down to your 
left shoulder curl your right heel to your bum   and push your hips up okay a lot of people 
struggle to begin with getting their hips up   and a lot of people leave their head down here 
when they come up and that blocks you so tuck   your head lift your hips as you lift your hips 
tuck in your left foot the toes of your left foot   and then step out here and then come over to the 
right side so the opposite side the way out you're   just reversing what you did so again we'll go 
from left to right now so come down to the right   shoulder left heel to your bum come up as your 
toes tuck in on the right foot step and then   reverse so toes are tucked right heel and back a 
lot of people struggle when they start to invert   they come up and then they roll forwards and then 
they're like what happened so what you want to   avoid is this part of your back we're just using 
the top half of our back so if i come back again   and come into it if you watch which part of 
my back i'm i'm kind of rolling over and never   use my lower back i'll do it the other way just 
to show you so i'm coming up and over see here   i'm never using this part of my back and then i 
come up same the other side so you're never using   this part you just come up and over if you still 
struggle to invert bjta another thing you can do   to to practice and get used to that inversion i 
find is if you're going from right to left get the   left back of the left hand on your back and now 
everything else is the same so lay on your left   side left out right heel in push yourself up and 
i find that just makes it a little bit easier to   begin with when you step over and then other side 
same thing back of the right hand over come up and   over and then as you get more confident you can 
start playing that kind of seated garden things   and start like reaching for legs so your hands 
are on the inside and you can start inverting   this way or going for your leg entanglement chaos
